Overview
MAIG works regularly with employees with disabilities (EWDs) to ensure that documents, websites, and systems are accessible, including providing testing and technical support. MAIG currently provides 508 compliance support including but not limited to the review and remediation of inaccessible Microsoft Office documents, Adobe PDF files, and InDesign documents for multiple federal clients. This work extends to our own capabilities statements, marketing materials, and proposal responses.
As of November 2018, MAIG was the selected contractor to provide reasonable accommodation services to the Department of State (DOS). MAIG’s DOS reasonable accommodations contract is directly relevant to the VA’s work scope in that both require accessibility and disability support services primarily for employees with disabilities in a workplace setting. This contract also requires specific technological abilities to provide oral and written summaries of messages, meetings, and other specialized documents.
